Small things done now will be disproportionately important in decades to come.
NEXT MEETING - AGM - Thursday 15 th November, 7pm at Sunnybank Hills library
Level 2 Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown
Cnr. Calam Rd. and Compton Rd. Sunnybank Hills
Guest speaker at the AGM will be Kellie Caught from “World Wildlife Fund for Nature”. We look forward to hearing Kellie speak about recent developments in climate change research and what can be done to help both ourselves and wildlife cope with this problem.
THANK YOU
Due to a change in circumstances, Margaret Thomson and Alex Fisher will no longer be available to organise
the catering at our regular bush breakfasts. Margaret and Alex have done a commendable job over many years
providing us all with the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors with good company, entertainment and delicious food. It is extremely important that we all have a chance occasionally to get together, enjoy the Forest in a social setting and relate to it not just as a focus of hard work but as a place where we can appreciate the peaceful atmosphere while enjoying the company of others.
Thank you Margaret and Alex for your commitment to this essential activity.
If anyone would like to continue the good work done by Margaret and Alex please let Jane or Thomas know.
NOVEMBER BUSH WALK
The November walk will leave from the Acacia Road picnic area on Sunday 25th starting at 7am. Remember to bring along some sun screen, water and good walking shoes as by nine o’clock the temperature is quite warm.
COFFEE BREAK
As the year is drawing to an end no further coffee mornings will be held until March 2008.

TIPS TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
Lower the temperature on your hot water system in the summer months – with warmer air all around, your system doesn’t have to work as hard to heat water. OR, consider putting in a more energy efficient
Solar, gas or heat pump hot water system.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
Thank you to all who have already sent in their memberships for 2008. Some receipts may be a little late getting back as processing has been held up by volunteers being on holidays. If you haven’t sent in your form please don’t forget to do so. Your membership is what gives the Society it’s strength. Membership Form link
